Sabrina Wottreng Public Relations Announces 2022 Scholarship Recipient

Autumn is in full swing and that means it's time to announce the second annual Sabrina Wottreng Public Relations Scholarship award winner. 

Join us in congratulating … Loyola University Chicago Senior Aslan Mutuwa!

Aslan is currently pursuing a degree in communications and international studies, with a specialized focus on advertising and public relations. The class of 2023 graduate says he feels fortunate to be selected as the winner of the $2,000 award.

"I can't begin to express the privilege and pleasure of receiving this scholarship,” Aslan said. “Sabrina Wottreng's support and guidance is something I see myself looking to throughout my career."

SWPR founder Sabrina Wottreng first established the scholarship fund in 2021. The fund aims to assist students at her alma mater — Loyola University Chicago — who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications.

The 2021 inaugural winner of the SWPR Scholarship, Ande Perihana, went on to intern for our agency in 2022.

“I am honored to have the ability and opportunity to support the next generation of communication professionals coming out of Loyola,” said Sabrina. “The university holds a special place in my heart, and I enjoy contributing to the continued growth of students looking to join the public relations industry.”

Sabrina has committed to providing an annual $2,000 scholarship to Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication each year through 2023.
