SWPR: Committed to Helping Organizations Empower Women
Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world according to the United Nations. That is why empowering women and girls is important to Sabrina Wottreng Public Relations (SWPR). In the first quarter of 2022, SWPR donated to three organizations focused on creating real change for women around the world.
The Junior League's Little Black Dress Initiative - Founded in 2014 by the Junior League of London, the Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) is a week-long awareness and fundraising campaign that harnesses the power of social media to illustrate the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources. Advocates wear one black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive days to spark conversations and awareness about poverty and related issues.
Girls, Inc. - Inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold through programming that focuses on the development of the whole girl. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to lead fulfilling and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their community.
Kiva - Founded in 2005 with a mission to expand financial access to help underserved communities thrive. Worldwide, women have much less economic opportunity, security, and freedom. By supporting women starting their own businesses, going to school, and investing in the health of their communities and families, even a small loan can give them a bright future.
To show our commitment to gender equality, SWPR will make monthly donations to organizations focused on supporting, uplifting, and breaking barriers for women and girls.
