Kiser Group has retained Sabrina Wottreng Public Relations since 2017, and 2021 had the best press year in the multifamily brokerage firm’s 17-year history. Our niche in commercial real estate and multifamily plus our media relationships, combined with Kiser Group’s market expertise, created a record year of media attention and brokerage business.
Press release creation and distribution accounted for 76% of Kiser Group’s 308 press mentions in 2021. Kiser Group’s total press placements increased 45% from 2020.
Our agency’s efforts helped Kiser Group secure 12 bylined articles, publish 25 blog posts, was featured on five podcasts, win 10 industry awards, and secure 10 speaking engagements at industry events.

In 2021, Kiser Group appeared in 35 different publications ranging from local to national outlets.
Newsjacking
When the Surfside condo collapsed, our team saw an opportunity to inform the public about condo deconversions. Kiser Group Director Andy Friedman has extensive experience with condo deconversions so we leveraged his expertise, which resulted in an interview with Slate.com and a bylined article in REbusiness.
Podcasts
Podcasts continue to grow in relevance in the commercial real estate industry, making it imperative we secure Kiser Group and its team members’ interviews on top CRE podcasts such as Joe Fairless’ Best Real Estate Advice, Real Estate For Breakfast, Straight Up Chicago Investor, and Multifamily Insights. And we did just that!

Kiser Group’s Principal and Managing Broker Lee Kiser is a member of the Forbes Business Council. Through his membership, he has the opportunity to contribute one article a month on Forbes.com.
From providing headline suggestions to ghostwriting and editing the articles for submission, we helped him produce and publish 12 articles in 2021.

Our team worked with the brokerage firm to produce and publish 25 blog posts on their website in 2021. With SEO in mind, themes ranged from “where to invest” to “sharing local CRE nuances”.
Awards
Awards campaigns are also a priority to the firm. We worked with the team to draft and submit award nominations for both team members and the company.
The award efforts resulted in 10 wins from “Top Broker” to “Top Brokerage Firm.” Notably, Partner Aaron Sklar was named Top Broker by the Illinois Real Estate Journal, Lee Kiser was named a Quarterly CoStar Power Broker, Kiser Group was named a 2020 Power Broker by CoStar, and three firm advisors were named CRE Future Leaders by REjournals.com.
Events
Commercial real estate events are known to be pay-to-play, meaning they typically require sponsorship to secure a speaking role at the event. We helped Kiser Group earn speaking engagements and negotiate steep discounts with the event production companies. In 2021, Kiser Group’s team appeared on multiple Bisnow and REjournals panels.
Our agency also produced the Virtual Mid-Market Summit — a pandemic pivot away from the brokerage firm’s annual client dinner. Throughout May, Kiser Group hosted three webinars addressing financing, technology, and construction. Our team produced each webinar and took on multiple key tasks including securing panelists, prepping the moderators, and running each Zoom webinar. In total, the series was attended by over 600 people.
