Client Case Study: HelloData.ai
Whenever a new client reaches out, and is a good fit, we begin their PR experience with a three-month client starter retainer. Here's a peek at what this introductory period looks like through the lens of one of our clients — HelloData.ai — who has completed their starter phase and continues retaining us.
Media training
At Sabrina Wottreng Public Relations, we recognize the importance of brand representation, so we begin our retainer by focusing on media training. For the co-founders of HelloData.ai, this meant completing Media Training 101 — a webinar hosted by Sabrina Wottreng.
Following the webinar, the co-founders also completed individual sessions to prepare for interviews and hone their talking points. These sessions aim to ensure that each media-facing person on a team is fully equipped to effectively communicate in any type of media encounter.
Introductions to media & podcasts
Our team knows how to network. In the first three months, we reached out to more than 100 unique commercial real estate, proptech, technology, and Chicago business contacts — introducing them to HelloData.ai and solidifying the connection by highlighting how the company and its team can be a useful resource.
During the client starter phase, two of the co-founders, Marc Rutzen and Nicolas Lassaux, secured and prepared for six podcast interviews. In one interview, Marc sat down with Slocomb Reed of the The Best Ever Show podcast to discuss how HelloData.ai is automating the due diligence process. Podcasts like these, which boast more than 30 million downloads, increase the presence and reach of our clients.
Press release creation & distribution
In just three months, we garnered plenty of attention for our newest client. To accomplish this, we collaborated on and distributed two press releases that resulted in coverage from important CRE outlets such as: The Real Deal, BuiltIn Chicago, REjournals, Connect, and more.
Additionally — through the distribution of these press releases on the newswire — the SWPR team has secured high-ranking backlinks, assisting with SEO strategy and driving even more interest to our client.
Bylined articles & profile interviews
Offering a unique perspective is helpful in connecting any company team with peers as well as the public. To facilitate this, our team helped Marc secure membership to Forbes Technology Council — an invitation-only organization comprised of leading CIOs, CTOs and technology executives. There, he contributes monthly articles, and participates in expert Q&A. His features include: AI In Real Estate: Where To Start, How To Use AI-Driven Compliance And Fraud Detection In Real Estate, 16 Innovative Potential (And Current) Applications For The Metaverse, and 20 Sustainable Practices To Help Businesses And Tech Teams ‘Go Green’.
When our clients need an extra hand with writing, we’re there to ghostwrite articles and content that gain attention. The work of our team, and, therefore, our clients — including HelloData.ai — has appeared in multiple outlets. We also collaborated with Nicolas Lassaux to help make his Authority Magazine profile sing.
Award submissions
Awards get attention. For HelloData.ai, we collaborated on multiple award submissions and have, thus far, secured recognition for CEO March Rutzen as a Multifamily Influencer and co-founder Tim Gamble via a profile as a CRE Future Leader.
Event outreach
To be well known, we know our clients must put themselves out there. In our first three months with HelloData.ai, we have created an industry-specific event calendar and submitted team members for speaking engagements, incubator applications, and pitch competitions.
These are the type of long-lead PR activities that sustain focus on our clients even after short-term attention fizzles out. We ensure our clients stay in the spotlight and generate new interest to stay relevant.
